Job Overview

Siemens Grid Software team is looking for qualified candidates for their Grid Software Internship Program in Business and Sales. This internship, beginning in May 2024, is a 12-week full-time summer internship allowing remote work within the US. As an intern, you will work with experts in the Energy industry who have developed software, products, and services that electrify the world. If you are passionate about improving global sustainability, this internship is a perfect opportunity for you. The goal of the internship is to prepare you to join Team Siemens as a full-time employee once you have attained your degree.

Compensation

  • Undergraduate candidates: $31 per hour
  • Graduate candidates: $31-$35 per hour

Responsibilities

During the Grid Software Internship, you will:

  • Work in multiple Business and Sales roles within the Grid Software division.
  • Gather, analyze, and evaluate relevant data to provide comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings to support Grid Software's success.
  • Support and develop sales initiatives while integrating new office technologies and systems.
  • Encounter routine work and procedure-based tasks, but also handle changing priorities and differing situations.
  • Focus on analyzing, evaluating, prioritizing, and solving operational issues and incidents and optimizing tools used in processes.
  • Approach the internship with a growth mindset to develop a thorough understanding of the business and find ways to elevate your own and your colleagues' accomplishments.

Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

  • Current junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree, or a graduate student with at least one year remaining in their program (must not be graduating prior to September 2024).
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Math, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or Computer Science (other technical degrees will also be considered).
  • Legal authorization for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic programming skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multinational and diverse groups and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and the capacity to effectively prioritize concurrent activities.
