Job Overview

  • Develops Todays Jobs employment preparation program objectives and course curricula.
  • Supervises trainers and program coaching services to increase successful student internship and/or employment readiness.
  • Emphasis is placed on elevating employment and economic outcomes of students and alumni.

Compensation

  • $54,044 - $67,555 a year

Responsibilities

  • Manages the development, implementation, operation, and evaluation of the Todays Jobs program in accordance with project goals, objectives, and established timelines.
  • Supervises, trains, coaches, coordinates, and evaluates Todays Jobs staff while adhering to ACC Human Resource policies and related employment laws.
  • Leads assigned program area operations, including monitoring of customer service and staffing needs.
  • Develops and implements instruction and coaching best practices for assigned staff.
  • Designs employment readiness curriculum for adult learners, incorporating strategies, job-search tools, and technologies so students and job seekers can achieve career outcomes aligned with their educational goals and credentials by successfully navigating obstacles and overcoming potential employment barriers.
  • Ensures inclusive learning strategies and a student-centric ecosystem based on best practices.
  • Ensures availability of specialized career coaching expertise to meet the unique needs of identified populations such as veterans, students with disabilities, individuals with background challenges (incarceration, felony, lengthy employment gaps, etc.), students with limited career-related awareness, and/or individuals who are re-careering for various other reasons or who are underemployed.
  • Establishes procedures and practices to track enrollment and analyze programming and student employment outcomes.
  • Manages data collection, file maintenance, and report preparation.
  • Compiles and analyzes data reports for assigned area and provides evaluative feedback.
  • Develops and coordinates course schedule each semester, determining meeting frequency, class times and locations, and instructors for each section.
  • Determines teaching and coaching schedule for trainers.
  • Reviews and monitors coaching calendar and course schedule monthly.
  • Provides training and support, as needed, to faculty and staff to integrate job readiness programming and Career Services technology in the classroom.
  • Serves as liaison and primary contact for the Todays Job program to promote enrollment of students including internship and apprenticeship candidates.
  • Promotes and advertises Todays Jobs program to college stakeholders such as the Office for Experiential Learning, Department Chairs, Adult Education division, Continuing Education, and Student Life to provide career readiness support for individuals seeking employment at any phase within their student experience.
  • Maintains consistent and positive customer relations, responding to internal/external inquiries in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of equity, diversity, and values differences and ensures that all services are developed and delivered within this framework.
  • Participates in institutional committees and training related to student success and retention goals that enhance opportunities for ACC students.

Requirements
