Job Overview

This position is in NASA's Pathways Intern Employment Program (IEP), which provides students with opportunities to explore NASA careers and gain meaningful developmental work experience. You will work under the guidance of and assist human resources (HR) professionals or administrative personnel in routine and non-routine duties. This internship is open to current students enrolled in accredited educational institutions.


  • Salary: $16.14 - $44.02 per hour
  • Pay scale & grade: GS 4 - 9
  • Remote job: Yes


  • Assist HR or equal employment opportunity professionals with routine and non-routine duties in various occupational specialties, such as Recruitment and Placement, HR Development, HR Business Partner, Employee Labor Relations, Performance Management, Information Systems, Classification, Employee Benefits, Compensation, or Workforce Planning and/or Analytics.
  • Gain hands-on experience in preparation for more difficult tasks as a professional trainee after graduation.


  • U.S. citizenship or national status
  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited educational institution on at least a half-time basis
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.9 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Availability to work a minimum of 640 hours after the start date and before completing academic program requirements
  • Anticipated graduation on or after May 08, 2024
  • Willingness to maintain enrollment during periods without work at NASA and maintain a GPA of at least 2.9 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation or higher level clearance (if required)
  • Must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire
