Job Overview
This position is in NASA's Pathways Intern Employment Program (IEP) which provides students with opportunities to explore NASA careers and gain meaningful developmental work experience. To learn more about NASA's Pathways Program, click here.
Compensation
- Salary: $16.14 - $41.19 per hour
- Pay scale & grade: GS 4 - 9
Responsibilities
- Serve in the capacity of a Student Trainee under the guidance of accounting, budget, or administrative professionals
- Perform routine and progressively responsible duties related to the individual's academic studies and occupational career goals
- Specific duties dependent upon the assigned occupational specialty in preparation for more difficult tasks as a professional trainee after graduation
- Disciplines include, but are not limited to, Financial and Administration, Accounting, Auditing, and Budget Analysis
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship, nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S.
- Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree or certificate-seeking student in an accredited educational institution on at least a half-time basis
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.9 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Expected start date: January 16, 2024
- Ability to work a minimum of 640 hours after the start date and before completing academic program requirements
- Graduation date on or after May 08, 2024
- Must maintain enrollment at current educational institution during periods not working at NASA
- Maintain a GPA of at least 2.
