Job Overview
- Serves as the Chief Pharmacist at a Federal Bureau of Prisons correctional facility.
- Responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations, including dispensing, pharmaceutical care, clinical and community relations, and accreditation compliance.
- Plans and provides a completely integrated pharmacy program and coordinates these programs with all other departments within the institution.
- Ensures the integrity of all medications are maintained and properly stored.
- Manages the pharmaceutical budget and ensures national contract compliance.
Compensation
- Salary: $92,123 - $119,760 per year
- Pay scale & grade: GS 12

Responsibilities
- Provide a completely integrated pharmacy program
- Coordinate pharmacy programs with other departments within the institution
- Dispense pharmaceuticals in accordance with proper procedures
- Maintain the integrity and proper storage of medications
- Manage the pharmaceutical budget and ensure contract compliance
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Doctoral degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Licensure to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- At least one year of professional pharmacy experience
- Ability to distinguish basic colors
- Must undergo credentialing process prior to employment
