As a Data Engineer intern at Cerberus, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Our program offers interns a comprehensive 360 perspective on the various career paths within an alternative asset management firm. Spanning 8 weeks in our NYC office, you'll be matched with a business desk, including but not confined to investment research, portfolio management, risk analysis, operations, and client relations. Concurrently, you'll partake in specialized training covering financial modeling, refining executive presence and presentation aptitude, insightful "lunch and learn" sessions spanning all departments, and invaluable networking prospects.

Responsibilities
- Data Mastery and Scalable Techniques: Utilize analytical prowess and statistical acumen to meticulously analyze both structured and unstructured data. Employ scalable techniques that unveil insights, laying the foundation for data-driven decision-making.
- Robust Data Ecosystem Construction: Construct data ingestion and transformation pipelines that seamlessly transport structured and unstructured data to both expansive big data platforms and cloud-based databases.
- Strategic Problem Translation: Distill intricate business scenarios into concise data-driven challenges. Skillfully align business objectives with relevant cost functions, navigating the intricacies of accessible data sources.
- Holistic Solution Delivery: Orchestrating the seamless delivery of success criteria, data, algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools, you will efficiently tackle complex challenges and provide actionable solutions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields
- Must be motivated with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team
