Job Overview
Odyssey Reinsurance Company (OdysseyRe) is seeking a Summer Intern, Actuarial to join our team. As a global reinsurance company, OdysseyRe offers a wide range of property, casualty, and specialty reinsurance solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our actuarial team, gaining valuable experience in evaluating reinsurance proposals and pricing techniques. The internship will run for 10 weeks beginning in June 2024, and is a hybrid role based in our Stamford, CT office.

Responsibilities
- Assist in building and improving pricing models used by the department
- Develop dashboards with data visualization tools to effectively communicate information to clients
- Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and department
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in actuarial science or a related mathematical field of study
- Minimum grade point average of 3.3
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated interest in actuarial science, preferably through participation in the Casualty Actuarial Society exam process
- Familiarity with Excel
- Experience with VBA for Excel, Tableau, SQL, R, Python or similar software is a plus
