Job Overview
At HNTB, we are seeking a Roadway Design Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of highway and roadway projects. From small intersection improvements to large bridge reconstruction projects, you will work closely with experienced design engineers to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the design process. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated new graduate to make a significant impact in the field of highway and roadway engineering.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of highway and roadway projects, including geometric design, alignment layout, and cross-sections.
- Produce and deliver highway design projects through design submittal or construction phases.
- Support the preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and final designs with supporting documentation.
- Assist in the development of specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Prepare roadway design elements using Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, and corridors.
- Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
- Assist in preparing, coordinating, and facilitating public presentations and workshops.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design elements seamlessly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
