Job Overview
Gain knowledge and experience while assisting our team as a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern!
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities
- Think logically and reasonably to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Learn basic principles of Mechanical Engineering/Design.
- Assist with project research and preliminary designs and analysis.
- Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
- Understand department needs and seek clarification when needed.
- Work with AutoCAD program.
- Compose Engineering documents regarding design and layouts.
- Take measurements and create designs.
- Adhere to and enforce safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
- Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Currently attending an accredited institution pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in using AutoCAD.
- Valid Passport book or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
