Job Overview
As a Nordstrom Fashion Design Intern, you'll have the opportunity to join our fashion design team and gain valuable industry experience. You'll work alongside experienced designers, support various design functions, and have the chance to showcase your work to company leadership. Successful interns may even have the opportunity to join Nordstrom full-time upon completion of their degree.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $25/hr in Seattle, WA
- Performance-based incentives/bonuses may be available.
Responsibilities
- Support designers with all design functions for designated category(s) or brand(s), including collab prep, sketching, and coloring cads.
- Work on a design project with milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Research and stay up-to-date on customer preferences, fashion trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Maintain strong communication and follow-through to build relationships.
Requirements
- Currently a college student working towards a Bachelor's or Associates degree in Fashion Design.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe CS, and hand-sketching.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and systems.
- Passion for fashion and a strong design eye.
- Strong visual presentation skills and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Seattle for the 10-week summer internship.
