Job Overview

The Estée Lauder Companies, a global leader in prestige beauty, is offering a summer internship opportunity for current undergraduate Juniors (rising seniors) in the field of Enterprise Cyber Security & Risk. As an intern, you will gain real-life experience in an IT business environment and work with a thriving cybersecurity team. You will be given meaningful assignments and projects, with opportunities to learn new technologies and demonstrate thought leadership. This internship also offers networking opportunities and mentorship with seasoned professionals in HR, cybersecurity, risk, and business.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, and location.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an IT business environment and collaborate with the cybersecurity team
  • Complete meaningful assignments and projects
  • Learn and apply new technologies
  • Share opinions, ideas, and learnings with IT and cybersecurity leaders
  • Participate in networking events and activities to explore various roles within the company
  • Receive mentorship from seasoned professionals

Requirements

  • Passion and interest in cybersecurity and risk
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant IT/IS related field
  • Coursework in cybersecurity fundamentals, IT compliance and risk management, security operations, cyber threat detection, threat intelligence, network security engineering, secure software development/engineering, and security architecture
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, SQL, and Powershell
  • Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Snort, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, and nmap
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office
