Job Overview

  • Duration: January or early February 2024 to early Summer 2024 (if available)
  • Full-time, in-person position based in the Washington DC office

Compensation

  • DOE

Responsibilities

  • Gain breadth and depth of knowledge of policy issues facing Tesla, with a focus on EV charging, renewable energy generation, storage, permitting and electricity rates regulations.
  • Analyze policy initiatives for their impacts on Tesla
  • Support the development of new policy and business initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Currently a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in relevant field such as Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Business, or related degree with a focus on energy, climate, and sustainability
  • Direct experience with energy and/or environmental policy is preferred
  • Direct experience working with legislators either at the local, state or federal level is preferred
  • Minimum 6-month commitment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Capable of working remotely with high productivity
  • Self-starting and solutions-oriented
  • A strong team player passionate about transitioning the world to sustainable energy
