Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Security Engineering Intern - Response & Engagement include:

  • Working closely with the Business Engagement team on design and initiatives to support strategic efforts.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting metrics surrounding Business Engagement and integrated services.
  • Supporting emergent threat activities and triage for daily tactical operations.
  • Maintaining and strengthening Business Engagement program efficacy through evaluation, analysis, documentation, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with common web vulnerabilities including: XSS, XXE, SQL Injection, Deserialization Attacks, Path Traversal Attacks, Remote Execution Flaws, and Authentication Flaws.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability and configuration scanning tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security controls across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • Familiarity with containers, container orchestration systems, and methods for securing containerized workloads.
  • Familiarity with performing risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to advise business partners on remediation planning.
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in cybersecurity, computer science/engineering, or related degree.
  • Planning to return to school in the Fall of 2024 to continue or complete the degree program.
