Job Title: Security Engineering Intern - Response & Engagement

Job Overview:

Experian's Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for students nationwide to gain hands-on work experience in our innovative global company. As a Security Engineering Intern - Response & Engagement, you will work closely with our Business Engagement team to support strategic efforts. You will have the chance to monitor, analyze, and report metrics, support emergent threat activities, and maintain program efficacy through evaluation, analysis, documentation, and recommendations.

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off, including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.

Responsibilities:

As a Security Engineering Intern - Response & Engagement, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Business Engagement team on design and initiatives to support strategic efforts
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting metrics surrounding Business Engagement and integrated services
  • Supporting emergent threat activities and triage for daily tactical operations
  • Maintaining and strengthening Business Engagement program efficacy through evaluation, analysis, documentation, and recommendations

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Familiarity with common web vulnerabilities, including: XSS, XXE, SQL Injection, Deserialization Attacks, Path Traversal Attacks, Remote Execution Flaws, and Authentication Flaws
  • Familiarity with vulnerability and configuration scanning tools
  • Familiarity with cloud security controls across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
  • Familiarity with containers, container orchestration systems, and methods for securing containerized workloads
  • Familiarity with performing risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to advise business partners on remediation planning
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in cybersecurity, computer science/engineering, or a related degree
  • Planning to return to school in the Fall of 2024 to continue or complete degree program
