Job Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be responsible for determining and developing production processes for manufacturing operations consistent with team objectives. In this role, you will work closely with product engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize judgment in performance of duties under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineer, following company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Conduct process capabilities studies for various manufacturing processes and set up tracking/trending methods.
  • Contribute to assigned projects focused on small equipment improvements and the design of small upgrades or identification of improved components.
  • Collaborate with High Performance Teams, Plant Supervisor, and Process Engineer on continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with various related engineering functions, including design, cost reduction, and quality control.
  • Update and improve detail of plant layout drawings.
  • Fill in gaps with equipment preventive maintenance setup and spare parts stocking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a 4-year Degree program in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience preferred.
