Job Overview

The Business Management Group (BMG) within Intel's Sales and Marketing Group (SMG), is charged with running and growing the business for Intel and its customers through meaningful data analysis and market insights. Internship Description: The Operations Analyst intern within BMG, will support America's Operations and have exposure to and experience with managing the sales process. The candidate will act as the communication conduit between internal and external Customers, Sales, Finance, and the Factory to optimize revenue. There are two roles an Operations Analyst intern could support:

  • Customer Business Analyst (CBA) - First line of contact for supply chain management. Manage the sales process, forecast demand, orders, and invoicing. Manage large amounts of data in excel to propose solutions to problems.
  • Rebate Analyst (RA) - Work closely with operations, finance, field sales, and the customer to calculate rebate payments and forecast accruals. Manage large amounts of data in excel to propose solutions to problems.

Both roles require the following: delivering world class customer engagement and orientation, growing revenue, and helping Intel gain and maintain competitive edge, building and executing business strategies, influencing Intel and its customers through data analysis, market intelligence, and insightful information bringing together multiple stakeholders and points of view to effectively grow the business. To deliver on our mission, we are looking for employees with the experience and a variety of skill sets to help drive the business across multiple roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and data management skills and the ability to work through complex/ambiguous business scenarios.
  • Ability to solicit and listen to critical feedback to improve forecast, while simultaneously demonstrating confidence in numbers and analysis
  • Ability to consistently deliver results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing via excellent written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated skills in driving processes and solving problems across multiple business groups.
  • Familiarity with Intel Architecture products and customers and a working knowledge of broader PC market drivers and trends

Requirements

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time and pursuing Bachelor's degree in, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Accountancy, or other business related field.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Must be enrolled and progressing in a degree earning program during the internship, with a graduation date after the completion of internship.
  • Ability to work full time (40hrs/week) for approximately 12 weeks.
  • Must be able to work in the office at the Intel Folsom, or Oregon campus during the specified dates when the organization is on site.
  • 3+ months of experience engaging with and/or supporting customers
  • 3+ months of experience with Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ months of experience or knowledge in:
  • Understanding of supply management, demand forecasting, market analysis or operations
  • Experience or knowledge with Excel; pivot tables, advanced logic functions, and other complex formulas
