Job Overview

The Service-Learning Program Coordinator at Benedict College is responsible for providing ownership, management, student and faculty support, data collection, reporting, and administration for the college's critical service-learning program. This position involves developing and managing community partner relationships, supporting departmental objectives of student career advising and development, and facilitating access to experiential learning opportunities.

Compensation

  • Pay: $35,000 - $55,000 per year
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Shift and Schedule: Weekends as needed, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and management of successful service-learning engagements for students
  • Collaborate with Service Learning partners and faculty to support student career development through presentations and services
  • Manage special projects including internships and experiential learning opportunity policies and procedures
  • Assist the Executive Director and Employer Relations Manager with Career Center operations and management
  • Collaborate and assist with the implementation of programs, events, workshops, and service-learning projects
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, community partners, alumni, and other key stakeholders for experiential learning opportunities
  • Provide training for faculty on service-learning programs and projects aligned with majors and curricula
  • Gather, analyze, and report data promptly to meet service-learning requirements
  • Serve as a technology leader and project manager for special projects such as database management

Requirements

  • Professional experience or knowledge of career, workforce, and community services
  • Strong technology skills related to career planning and assessments
  • Experience creating and presenting adult educational workshops and programs
  • Innovative thinker with personal initiative and goal-oriented mindset
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or on a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
  • Valid driver's license and transportation
