Job Overview

AnB Education is seeking an experienced Host Family Recruiter for our J1 High School Exchange Program. As a Host Family Recruiter, you will be responsible for finding public schools and host families for placement on time. Your role will involve assisting potential foster families in meeting certification requirements and developing and implementing effective marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in high school student exchange programs.

Compensation

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the timely placement of J-1 and F-1 exchange students with host families attending high school
• Develop a development plan for the region, including recruitment and regional training meetings for Local Coordinators
• Coordinate and implement marketing, recruitment, and public relations strategies to ensure a pool of qualified applicants
• Gather all necessary information to complete a Background Check Clearance (CBC)
• Analyze, respond to, and resolve recruitment issues
• Attend bi-weekly supervision meetings with the supervisor
• Maintain and update the J1 portal to ensure compliance with Department of State regulations
• Collaborate closely with HQ office staff through regular communication
• Resolve issues related to the high school exchange program
• Prepare reports for the program supervisor
• Suggest creative ideas to recruit more host families

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in recruitment and public relations
• Strong background/experience in high school student exchange programs
• Provide a statement of proven experience in the J1 high school program
• 2 years of experience with foster/adoptive families or volunteer host families
• BA/BS in Social Work
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural and linguistic work environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques
• Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
• Experience with project management software is a strong advantage
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Outgoing personality and passion for international exchange programs
