Job Overview
- Assist in managing a custom relational database
- Tag and catalog media assets according to database protocols
- Maintain an extensive library of broadcast media, including on-demand streaming inventory
- Perform scheduling and cataloging tasks
- Contribute to on-air operation, studio production, and ancillary network services
- Train and supervise students
- Provide department-related support to the network, university, and general public
- Compile and enter data daily
- Procure, catalog, file, and inventory broadcast content and media
- Create multiple daily Operations-related schedules
- Prepare pledge-related programs and schedules for on-air fundraising
- Proofread data and schedules daily
- Ingest, purge, and switch program and interstitial content daily
- Caption local programs for on-air broadcast
- Continually monitor and evaluate technical and aesthetic quality of multiple program streams
- Continually monitor and adjust operating performance of reception and transmission facilities
- Select, hire, train, and evaluate student interns and employees
- Document and report the network's operating status daily
- Provide department-related information support to the network and general public
- Communicate with the engineering team regarding broadcast equipment issues

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, with relevant work experience
- Experience in database management, inventory management, library work, and/or comprehensive scheduling and coordinating duties
- Proficiency in computer use, data entry, formatting, typing, and proofreading
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with people of varying skill levels and abilities, including students
- Professional representation of the organization and its programs
- Competence in using database management software (desirable)
- Experience with Adobe Premiere (a plus)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
