Compensation
At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $71,450 to $113,900 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Responsibilities
- Work within the Self-Healing team to support Viasat's virtual infrastructure
- Provide and manage the tooling framework for internal teams to write automated monitoring scripts
- Act upon anomalies detected using machine learning
- Resolve anomalies with auto-remediation, self-healing the network
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on development experience in any of the following: Python, Java, C, C++, YAML, Bash/Shell scripting
- Familiarity with Linux and Git
- Passionate, imaginative, learns quickly, works well both independently and on a team
Preferences
- Knowledge or experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Amazon Web Services, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Jenkins, Terraform
- Machine Learning coursework or development experience, using TensorFlow, Keras, or scikit-learn
- Completed coursework in many of the following: Data structures, algorithms, software engineering, machine learning, networking, operating systems
