Job Overview

  • Administer and score neuropsychological and psychological tests to toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist.
  • Adhere to standardized test administration procedures.
  • Utilize behavioral strategies to promote cooperation and compliance while decreasing problematic behaviors.
  • Document behavioral observations of patients during testing.
  • Organize and monitor test inventory and ensure adequate stock of test protocols.
  • Copy patient charts and protocols as needed.
  • Enter scores into score charts.
  • Act as a resource person or liaison for neuropsychologist, staff, patients, and their parents regarding behavioral health issues.
  • Proofread written reports.
  • Supervise children in unstructured activities while parents meet with the doctor.

Compensation

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, complete intakes, scheduling, check in patients, filing charts, perform administrative support to staff doctors as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPPA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, early childhood, or a related field.
  • Experience in standardized test administration and scoring is highly preferred.
  • One to two years working with toddlers, children, and/or adolescents.
  • Experience with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and TBI is strongly preferred.

  • Effectively communicate and develop rapport with a diverse group of children and parents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
  • Adjust direction and priorities within a fast-paced and multi-faceted work environment.
  • Working knowledge of office machines and equipment, e.g. photocopiers, phone systems.
  • Strong proficiency with computers, database entry and with full Microsoft Office suite, email, and internet.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of professionalism and diplomatic etiquette.
  • Above average interpersonal skills; ability to work with and through people at all levels to accomplish goals.
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate an ability to learn quickly.
