Job Overview

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice and counsel to internal business partners with respect to Monarch's partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and participating pharmacies pertaining to its core technology asset, brightscrip. This will include contract drafting, negotiation, and general legal support. You will identify business and legal risks and provide solutions which balance legal issues and business objectives. In this role, you will report to Monarch's CEO and work with senior leadership to formulate strategies regarding Monarch's technology operations with pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacies, and other partnerships within the industry. You will be expected to develop a keen understanding of Monarch's brightscrip technology and its operational goals, and work diligently to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation

• Pay: $155,917.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and strategic advice to business partners on a wide variety of legal and regulatory compliance matters pertaining to Monarch's brightscrip technology, and work collaboratively with other attorneys and partners on matters related to agreements with pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, prescribers, and other partnerships within the industry.
• Negotiate and draft contracts and related agreements for the accessing of brightscrip between Monarch and pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacies, prescribers, and other partnerships within the industry.
• Collaborate with senior team leaders to develop new product initiatives and partnership opportunities.
• Keep up to date on regulatory and legal changes impacting pharmaceutical services, HIPPA, data privacy, and Fintech; develop strategies for navigating and ensuring compliance with the same.
• Draft and review Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Confidentiality Agreements, and other related vendor agreements in support of strategic initiatives and partnerships pursued by Monarch.
• Provide legal support, regulatory guidance, and strategic counsel to internal business partners to facilitate innovative products and partnerships.
• Work closely and collaborate with Monarch's external attorneys and partners on contractual arrangements, intellectual property, HIPPA compliance, risk management and litigation, regulatory compliance, and general corporate legal issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years legal attorney experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and drive.
• Drafting and negotiating complex service agreements.
• Partnering with clients to achieve business objectives.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple demands.
• Take initiative and embrace new areas of practice and new projects.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one state and in good standing of applicable bar association(s).
