Job Overview

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Engineering will lead a team of Solutions Engineers, partnering with our Sales organization and focusing on HashiCorp's strategic accounts. This role reports directly to the Director, East Enterprise Strategic, Solutions Engineering. The key objective is to provide technical and sales leadership to a regional team, act as an escalation channel, and influence strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, develop, and lead a team of Solutions Engineers
  • Partner with Sales to support strategic accounts
  • Act as an escalation channel for the team
  • Influence strategic decisions on sales, go to market, product management, product marketing, corporate vision, and leadership mentoring

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Technical Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering experience
  • First-line leadership experience is preferred
  • Technical leadership in at least one of HashiCorp's influence areas (provision, secure, connect, or run)
  • Entrepreneurial and comfortable in a fast-moving, results-driven environment
  • Successful track record of defining and carrying out strategic and innovative projects with major impact
  • Leadership abilities with experience in building, growing, and managing a motivated organization
  • Experienced and strong supporter of development operations methodologies
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Self-directed with the ability to make strategic, complex, and difficult decisions
  • Advanced technical/engineering degree; MBA is helpful, but not required
  • Must be based within local traveling distance of Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island
