Job Overview
- Build, manage, develop, and lead a team of Solutions Engineers
- Partner with Sales organization and focus on HashiCorp's most strategic accounts
- Report directly to the Director, East Enterprise Strategic, Solutions Engineering
- Provide technical and sales leadership to a regional team of 6+ technical individual contributors
- Act as an escalation channel for the team and engage directly in key commercial opportunities within the region
- Influence strategic decisions on sales, go to market, product management, product marketing, corporate vision, and leadership mentoring

Responsibilities
- Build, grow, and manage a hardworking and motivated multi-regional organization
- Prioritize and allocate resources for ongoing projects
- Bring major new features or sales motions from conception to market and into ongoing maintenance
- Understand and stay up-to-date with current and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, distributed systems, automation, fault-tolerant systems, and orchestration software
- Present ideas on both technical and business elements
- Foster collaboration, mentor staff, and encourage their professional career development
- Make strategic, complex, and difficult decisions at all times
Requirements
- 5+ years of Technical Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering experience
- First line leadership experience preferred
- Technical leadership in at least one of HashiCorp's influence areas (provision, secure, connect, or run)
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable in a fast-moving, results-driven environment
- Successful track record of defining and carrying out strategic and innovative projects
- Leadership abilities and proven success in building, growing, and managing a regional organization
- Strong supporter of development operations methodologies
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Self-directed with the ability to make strategic, complex, and difficult decisions
- Advanced technical/engineering degree; MBA helpful, but not required
