Job Overview

  • Conduct field inspections by visiting project sites, witnessing or performing flow tests
  • Work closely with the construction team to address design changes due to field conditions
  • Coordinate project design efforts with Drafters, Sales Team, and EOR
  • Coordinate and address plan-check comments and permit processes with City
  • Maintain and improve design quality assurance processes
  • Log in and update accurate project information in company's operational software as trained and give accurate updates on assigned projects as needed
  • Ability to work remotely (home office) as well as in the field as needed.
  • Produce calculations, structural design, and detailing of different types of structures, including wood, steel, and reinforced concrete structures

Compensation

  • Pay: $22.00 per hour
  • Job Types: Part-time, Internship
  • Benefits: Flexible schedule
  • Schedule: 4-hour shift, Monday to Friday
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Laguna Hills, CA 92653: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A degree from an accredited school in the USA in civil or structural engineering.
  • Experience with wood and steel buildings preferred.
  • Experience working with Autocad, Revit, Enercalc, Risa, SAP, Safe, Etab.
  • Bachelors in Civil, or structural from accredited school in USA structural engineering.
  • Experience in the structural steel industry preferred
  • 0-1+ year experience as a Project Engineer or similar role
