Job Overview
- A.O. Smith Corporation is a leading global water technology company with over 140 years of history and 12,000+ employees.
- We specialize in hot water and clean water solutions, manufacturing residential and commercial water heating equipment.
- As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, support, maintenance, configuration, and backup of our M365, Azure Cloud, and on-premises server environment.
- You will also work on projects to enhance security and supportability while monitoring for potential problems and implementing preventive measures.

Responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for resolving service impacting issues.
- Support and monitor the enterprise environment, resolving issues and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Perform proactive system monitoring.
- Design and develop PowerShell scripts for automation.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Support and monitor A.O. Smith's cloud footprint.
- Conduct regular capacity planning and usage trending.
- Perform regular system security reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other System Engineers and Administrators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
- At least 7 years of Exchange / M365 / Azure AD / Azure experience in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of IT security principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to grasp new technologies and collaborate effectively with global teams.
- General knowledge of vendor management.
- Heavy PowerShell experience in Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint.
