Job Overview
The Allied Health Intern is a current high school student who is enrolled and participating in an Allied Health Program. The Intern integrates academic learning with hands-on work experience in a healthcare setting. The student will function as a member of the patient care team by providing care for patients and other support services that are aligned with their academic program. Allied Health could include, but not limited to dietary and nutrition services, laboratory, patient care assistant, respiratory therapy, imaging, and rehabilitation services.

- Provides basic care to patients to include, but not limited to, care and comfort, recording vital signs, drawing blood, personal care and hygiene, mobility, and department specific duties.
- Acts as a member of the patient care team reporting concerns to supervisor.
- Provides accurate, precise, and timely documentation when applicable for patient care.
- Uses professional communication when providing care to patients.
- Provides a high level of customer service to all patients, family, visitors, and employees.

- Licensing/Certification: STNA Certification (preferred)
- Education: Enrolled in an Allied Health Program (required)
