Job Overview
- Support the communications department in developing and implementing social campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase understanding for common sense gun violence solutions
- Utilize social media to expand upon our public health voice and presence
- Work closely with the creative team to create timely content that meets current and evolving trends
- Interns commit to 10-12 hours each week
- Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be necessary
Compensation
- If approved by your institution, this internship can count as course credit
- Schedule is adaptable and subject to change
- In-person participation is necessary during certain parts of the program
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
- Share content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
- Support the communications team at in-person events
- Perform social media marketing research
- Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms when appropriate
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
- Help create and edit short-form videos
- Assist with photo/video content shoots
- Ensure brand message is consistent
