Job Overview

  • Support the communications department in developing and implementing social campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase understanding for common sense gun violence solutions
  • Utilize social media to expand upon our public health voice and presence
  • Work closely with the creative team to create timely content that meets current and evolving trends
  • Interns commit to 10-12 hours each week
  • Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be necessary

Compensation

  • If approved by your institution, this internship can count as course credit
  • Schedule is adaptable and subject to change
  • In-person participation is necessary during certain parts of the program

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Share content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  • Support the communications team at in-person events
  • Perform social media marketing research
  • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms when appropriate
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
  • Help create and edit short-form videos
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots
  • Ensure brand message is consistent
