Fitt is a location-based platform that connects people to healthy living experiences across fitness, food, outdoors, and events. Available in 31 cities across the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, Fitt is transforming the way users discover health and fitness.
Role
Were looking for a creative and organized aspiring content creator and copyeditor to join our growing team. Under the direction of our Editor-in-Chief, youll assist in the creation and outward promotion of purpose-driven content while passionately upholding and growing Fitts brand. Youll work directly with the editorial team to help scale, manage, and support Fitts fast-growing content platform and contributor network.
General Qualifications
- Demonstrate confidence in own writing ability
- Display command of the English language
- Uphold extremely close attention to detail
- Possess personality, voice, and originality in writing
- Demonstrate patience and creativity in critiquing and revising work
- Embody a tireless drive and commitment to building an authentic brand
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding a consistent commitment to quality
- Assume role of editor for various projects, posts, and content
- Proofread, audit, and fact-check
- Research and identify potential leads and stories
- Write factually accurate and engaging content
- Awareness of health and fitness scene across multiple cities
- Required Skills/Experience:
- Mastery of AP Style or similar
- 1-2 years in role of editing, proofreading, online content creation, or journalism
- A sense of humor
- Passion for and knowledge of the health and fitness industry
- Working knowledge of content management systems, like WordPress
- Ease of communication and charisma
- Organization
