Job Overview

The Diversity and Workforce Strategies Specialist II is responsible for developing and improving initiatives to attract, hire, and retain a diverse workforce. This role will support the business and the Diversity and Workforce Strategies Center of Excellence, overseeing the full cycle enterprise-wide internship and co-op programs.

  • Develop sales and marketing approach to revitalize employment value proposition
  • Expand workforce development programs across service territories
  • Redesign and brand premier intern program
  • Remove barriers to entry in the hiring process
  • Remove bias in the hiring process
  • Engage in community partnerships
  • Ensure hiring, placement, and retention of candidates from Entergy-sponsored programs
  • Recruit and hire locally to reflect the communities served
  • Work with leadership teams to increase diversity, inclusion, and belonging

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Two years' experience without a degree or one year of experience with a degree
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Basic understanding of the utility industry
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope
  • Ability to contribute as part of a project team
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and government requirements
