Job Overview

The Information Services Division (ISD) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Information Security Architect. In this role, you will help secure the data of over 2.4+ million members. We are looking for someone who can adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment, work with emerging technology, and meet the needs of our members and internal customers.

Compensation

  • Salary: $93,500 - $99,000
  • Grade: 29

This position is eligible for part-time/full-time remote work (including virtual office arrangement). Must reside in the State of Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO, MARS-E, and other standards
  • Lead forensic efforts
  • Participate in audits and assessments
  • Proactively solve complex problems
  • Analyze and design enterprise information security systems and services
  • Implement and interpret policies, directives, and procedures
  • Develop and maintain the Information Security planning process

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Thorough working knowledge of information security technologies and industry trends
  • Considerable knowledge of specific information protection standards
  • Mastery with concepts of ISO27000, NIST 800, and other security standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Expert troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to architect, build, and implement large information security systems
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and test emerging technologies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree plus 10 or more years of experience in information security systems engineering, architecture, and design (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferred: Certified Information Security Systems Professional. At least 3 years of Information Security experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
  • Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks.
  • Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
