Job Overview

The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Communications and Marketing departments. The individual will work on marketing projects, including magazines, brochures, marketing collateral, interactive content, and signage.

Compensation

  • Job Type: Full-time, or Internship
  • Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Health insurance, Paid time off
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Creation of quality high-end assets across a wide range of marketing and communications materials as directed, including but not limited to:
    • Print – Magazine ads, packaging, brochures, fliers, posters, booklets, and more
    • Create impactful yet simple designs using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, software, and other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Conceptualize, design, and develop email campaign templates and website content
    • Multi-media content creation skills are a plus – animation, photography, video editing, etc.
    • Coordinate the production aspect of all creative services projects assigned
    • Support the team needed for internal concept presentations
    • Assist in the development of supportive content for digital, including video direction for typography and iconography
    • Photography of events as needed and assist in archiving photos in the digital asset management system, tagging images, uploading, etc.
    • Brings a positive, service-oriented approach to work
    • Can articulate thoughts clearly as well as listen to and consider others’ ideas
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
    • Maintain Solid Archive Records
    • Regular reliable attendance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Graphic Design from a four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills required: Excellent proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite for Mac (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with other MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) required
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity
  • Possess great attention to detail
  • Strong typography and layout skills
  • The ability to understand complex issues and learn quickly
  • Knowledgeable in converting and preparing files for both print and web
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate creative ideas well
  • Strong collaborative skills and comfortable working as a team player, but also a self-starter able to lead projects independently
  • Coachable and receptive to input and direction from others
  • Can easily handle multiple projects and “urgent” demands side by side
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet daily deadlines
