Alliant Insurance Services is offering a robust summer fellowship program to provide college students with an in-depth career experience in the insurance industry. This program spans over three summers and allows fellows to explore different parts of the industry while developing leadership skills. Responsibilities

  • Engage in a mentorship relationship in the insurance industry to gain general knowledge and understanding.
  • Rotate through different business groups and departments.
  • Attend all fellowship programming and check-in sessions with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) team.
  • Work on an eight-week term fellowship program assignment and prepare to present it during the last week of the program.
  • Complete all supplemental assignments, requests, and trainings assigned through Alliant's Aspire system in a timely manner.
  • Submit a post-fellowship testimonial and participate on panels as schedules permit.
  • Comply with company standards and treat all information as confidential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Insurance/Risk Management Certification program as an undergraduate, or other undergraduate program with an expressed interest in the insurance industry.
  • Genuine interest in a career in the Insurance industry.
  • Commitment to complete three (3) summers of fellowship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills, including emotional aptitude and listening skills.
  • Good problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
