Job Overview

The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for tracking and maintaining existing and new fixed assets, managing assets within the fixed asset system, and preparing various fixed asset reports and schedules. This role requires attention to detail and proficiency in accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain fixed assets within fixed asset system and projects within Project Costing.
• Track various projects in the Project Costing and prepare analytic reports.
• Reconcile fixed asset ledger to general ledger asset accounts monthly.
• Analyze capital expenditures/fixed asset additions and prepare monthly reporting schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments to track project costs.
• Assist auditors with fixed asset inquiries.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting, financial, and reporting tasks as needed.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-3 years of fixed asset accounting experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Oracle and Oracle Project Costing experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
• Flexible and enthusiastic
