- North East Westchester Special Recreation is a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic recreation for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
- We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to work with our participants at our programs.
- This is a fun and rewarding job, perfect for high school and college students or anyone looking to make a difference in other people's lives.
- Multiple program opportunities available.
Compensation
- Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship
- Pay: $9.00 - $16.00 per hour
- Schedule:
- After school
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
- Ability to commute/relocate: Hawthorne, NY 10532 (Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required)
- Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Work Location: One location
Responsibilities
- Work with program participants in a therapeutic recreation setting.
- Be creative and flexible with activities to make them age-appropriate and fun.
- Take direction when needed and adapt activities as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be dedicated and reliable.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to be creative and adaptive with activities.
