Job Overview
The Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCUWDP) is an initiative of the Clean Cities Coalition network, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program. This program aims to reduce petroleum consumption and pollution in the transportation sector across nearly 75 communities in the United States. As an intern in this program, you will have the opportunity to work with dynamic Clean Cities directors and their stakeholders to promote advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce petroleum consumption.
Compensation
- Stipends range from $4,500 – $7,200 depending on academic level and assigned hours
- 30 or 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, determined by the coalition
Responsibilities
- Work with Clean Cities coordinators and stakeholders to contribute to transportation-related environmental projects
- Engage in community outreach activities
- Develop social media campaigns
- Organize fleet events
- Convene stakeholders

Requirements
- Accepting all majors with emphasis on communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business, engineering, and environmental sciences
- Internship dates: approximately June 5, 2023, through August 18, 2023
