Job Overview

• The Research Transition Office (RTO) at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) is seeking a graduate or postdoctoral candidate in the field of psychology or clinical psychology.
• Collaborate with Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and academic partners on various projects.
• Develop advanced research skills and gain expertise in military psychology.

Compensation

• Stipend to be determined by Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.
• Additional benefits may include health insurance supplement, relocation allowance, and training and travel allowance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD agencies and academic partners on research projects.
• Design research projects, conduct focus groups and interviews, and perform complex analysis.
• Present findings through briefs, technical reports, conference posters, and empirical manuscripts.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in psychology or clinical psychology, or currently pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation date of August 31, 2023.
• One-year experience in behavioral or psychology research desired.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Physical capabilities: ability to stand for long periods, interact with research volunteers, and travel for data collection or training.
