Job Overview

  • Collaborate with Innovations for Youth (i4Y) at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health
  • Evaluate increased state funding for youth experiencing homelessness
  • Conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of the Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) youth-set aside funds

Compensation

  • Budgeted salary range: $62,315.34 (step 1.0) - $75,950.42 (Step 11.0)
  • Exempt position, paid monthly
  • 18-month, 100% full-time (40 hours per week), limited (temporary) position
  • Eligible for UC benefits
  • Hybrid position with 50% remote capability

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, and manage research team
  • Monitor and analyze study progress and budgets
  • Develop quantitative data collection instruments, recruit research subjects, and conduct statistical studies
  • Develop and manage databases
  • Communicate findings via reports, briefs, and academic papers
  • Participate in workshops, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a research team
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and initiative
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Social Welfare, or related field
  • Experience with marginalized communities preferred
