Job Overview

Whizara is seeking enthusiastic and high-energy Robotics (LEGO) instructors to teach coding classes for K-12 students. Join our team of passionate instructors and help students develop essential 21st-century skills.

Compensation

  • Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
  • Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Be punctual, reliable, organized, and efficient in running effective classes
  • Follow provided curriculum and lesson plans, set student goals, and motivate students to provide an enjoyable learning experience
  • Monitor student progress, advise students, and provide feedback and support as needed to meet outcomes and objectives
  • Inspire and motivate students, identify learning styles, and use a variety of teaching methods
  • Collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to achieve course goals
  • Provide feedback from classroom experience to contribute to curriculum development and instructional methods
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Communicate via email and phone as required

Requirements

  • Computer science student or recent graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience with Robotics (LEGO Spike Prime and Essential) and coding languages (Python, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, C++, Scratch)
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred
  • Comfortable with technology and computer applications
  • Ability to think on your feet and creatively engage students
  • Empathetic towards students and adaptable in teaching methods
  • Comfortable teaching elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Ability to work in a classroom environment
