Job Overview
Whizara is seeking enthusiastic and high-energy Robotics (LEGO) instructors to teach coding classes for K-12 students. Join our team of passionate instructors and help students develop essential 21st-century skills.
Compensation
- Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
- Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
- Be punctual, reliable, organized, and efficient in running effective classes
- Follow provided curriculum and lesson plans, set student goals, and motivate students to provide an enjoyable learning experience
- Monitor student progress, advise students, and provide feedback and support as needed to meet outcomes and objectives
- Inspire and motivate students, identify learning styles, and use a variety of teaching methods
- Collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to achieve course goals
- Provide feedback from classroom experience to contribute to curriculum development and instructional methods
- Work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Communicate via email and phone as required
Requirements
- Computer science student or recent graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience with Robotics (LEGO Spike Prime and Essential) and coding languages (Python, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, C++, Scratch)
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Comfortable with technology and computer applications
- Ability to think on your feet and creatively engage students
- Empathetic towards students and adaptable in teaching methods
- Comfortable teaching elementary, middle, and high school students
- Ability to work in a classroom environment
