Job Overview
A wonderful opportunity is available for a recent grad or exceptional 3rd year law school student to join our Legal team! Working full-time virtually directly with the General Counsel, you will assist with a variety of projects in the General Counsel’s office and get exposure to corporate transactional legal work at a software SaaS technology healthcare Silicon Valley company. With exposure to the business unit leaders and the management team, you will also learn how these provisions translate into a company's ongoing business needs.
Compensation
Pay Range: $81,777.22 - $98,484.39 per year
Responsibilities
- Structure business deals with appropriate legal contracts
- Conduct legal/factual research, particularly in the areas of compliance, privacy, data protection, HIPAA, FCRA, data science, artificial intelligence (AI), data transfer, and other topics
- Review and research policies, risk management, advertising claims substantiation
- Support the legal department staff on projects and tasks as needed, which may include: assisting in building software agreement playbooks; creating legal training materials for new business development and sales team members, project managers, and other departments that routinely interact with the legal team; assisting with updating the company’s contract repository
- All projects will be completed under the guidance of the company's in-house General Counsel, with additional support provided by our dev ops team including experts on info security and security ops
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited law school preferred, 3rd year current law school students will be considered
- Excellent undergraduate and law school academic credentials
- Ability to work independently, and then review work with the General Counsel
