Job Overview
- Ni Hao Chinese, founded in 2012, is seeking Mandarin Teaching Assistants to join our team.
- This position offers valuable experience for those interested in a teaching career.
- As a Mandarin TA, you will work alongside a credentialed teacher in a real LAUSD classroom.
- Previous TAs have successfully transitioned to teaching positions in the LAUSD school district.
- Some TAs may have the opportunity to substitute teach.
Compensation
- Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hrs/week), Internship
- Salary: $16 - $18 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist children with class activities.
- Collaborate with teachers to support students with varying language backgrounds and skill levels.
- Aid teachers in homework and assignment assistance.
- Manage and guide small groups of students in completing assignments.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, understanding, and commitment to ensure positive experiences for students.
Requirements
- High school diploma required (Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred).
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
- Prior experience working with school-aged students preferred.
- Passionate about education and possesses creative teaching abilities.
- Takes initiative and can effectively follow instructions.
- Skilled in evaluating, analyzing, and problem-solving with children.
- Ability to multitask with children and other responsibilities.
