Oracle DBA with GOLDEN GATE
Job Location
Westlake, TX (1 week a month)
Job Overview
- Visa: W2(USC/GC/H4/L2/GC-EAD/H1-B, Hire Friendly ) ONLY NO C2C
- 12+ MONTHS
Compensation
$55-60 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform applications database administration (Oracle) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering
- Set up, install, and manage multisite databases using Oracle GoldenGate replication
- Work with cloud database platforms on Linux environments
- Quickly diagnose problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
- Provide database support in all phases of SDLC with preferred agile experience
- Participate in 24X7 on-call rotation schedule for production support, database maintenance, housekeeping, and installs
- Collaborate with enterprise teams for system administrators, cyber security, and capacity planning
- Prioritize multiple projects/initiatives with strong time leadership skills
- Demonstrate self-motivation, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities
- Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding new applications/clients
- Demonstrate advanced skills in SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control (OEM 12c), Linux shell scripting, and writing database monitoring jobs in PL/SQL
- Prefer strong experience in Linux shell scripting
- Work effectively in a team environment with a flexible attitude
- Develop and drive database administration strategies and initiatives as per team needs
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent desirable
- Proficient in GOLDENGATE technology
- Proficient in AWS cloud databases on Linux environments
