Job Overview

We are seeking a Services Facility Architect to oversee and monitor the design and construction of Services facility construction projects. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and project management for architectural and engineering issues. You will also develop/recommend procedures and policies, review SOWs, and ensure the inclusion of cost-effective and efficient facility designs. Additionally, you will represent the AF Services Center at design and construction meetings and deliver presentations to senior military officers and civilians.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor the design and construction of Services facility construction projects
  • Provide technical authority and project management for architectural and engineering issues
  • Develop/recommend procedures and policies for NAF facilities
  • Review, coordinate/approve, or develop SOWs for AE Services and Design/Build initiatives
  • Ensure the inclusion of cost-effective and efficient facility designs
  • Represent the AF Services Center at design and construction meetings, conferences, and boards
  • Produce workable designs for consolidating or isolating Services functions
  • Deliver presentations on program status, accomplishments, and requirements for support
  • Participate in special studies and recommend appropriate actions or interpretations
  • Meet with customers and coordinating officials to assess satisfaction and resolve problems
  • Identify and implement/recommend improvement processes to meet customer requirements
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the work/schedule of other engineering disciplines and architects

Requirements

  • Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Must possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport
  • Must be able to travel frequently by plane to locations both in the United States and overseas
  • Professional experience with the full range of architectural concepts
