As a Chemical Process Engineer Intern, you will be embedded into a moonshot project, partnering with team members to evaluate, propose, and develop new chemical processes in molecular recycling.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $127,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate external and internally developed chemical processes scientifically, from a scalability perspective, and from a techno-economic perspective.
• Develop new chemical processes in the laboratory and design lab scale processes.
• Manage, organize, and analyze large amounts of analytical data from existing or novel chemical processes for process improvement and continued process development.
• Work closely with hardware and software teams to co-develop chemical processes and modeling processes that tie into the broader commercial and engineering goals of the project.
• Collaborate and coordinate with external partners and suppliers.

Requirements

• Studying towards a Ph.D in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Chemical engineering or applied process chemistry experience.
• Knowledge, experience, or interest in high temperature chemical conversions and unit operations.
• Interest in designing or working with chemical processes at scale.
