Job Overview

Plan lessons on art and art history in accordance with students' learning objectives
Work with primary and secondary youth
Provide instruction on drawing and painting, as well as art history
Create and facilitate group art projects for youth 5 - 12 years old

Compensation

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Internship
Schedule: After school, Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations: COVID – 19 PRECAUTIONS PROGRAM PLAN
- Participants will report to the MAW Program Location and check-in per CDC mandates
- Staff will check each participant’s temperature at arrival
- A sanitation station will be always available for participants

Responsibilities

Plan lessons on art and art history
Teach drawing, painting, and art history to primary and secondary youth
Create and facilitate group art projects
Supervise group work
Solve problems and provide support

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in fine arts with teaching qualification, or equivalent
Prior experience as an art teacher
Demonstrated excellence in a variety of art techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capacity to supervise group work
Outstanding planning and problem-solving skills
Supportive, flexible disposition
Available to work during evenings, on occasion
Teaching: 5 years (Preferred)
Teaching Certification (Preferred)
Security clearance: Confidential (Preferred)
