Job Overview

The Digital Marketing & Community Relations Internship position is a part-time, seasonal role. As a vital contributor to the success of the Round Rock Express, Nolan Ryan Foundation, and overall business, this position focuses on expanding and maintaining digital brands and enhancing community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling and creative social media content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok for the Round Rock Express and various events at Dell Diamond. Maintain the distinct voice of the Express to increase followers, drive engagement, create brand awareness, and generate sales leads.
  • Assist with social media oversight, including interacting with comments and identifying time-sensitive trends.
  • Support Google Events, Google Analytics, and utilize Sprout Social for social media content scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing & Community Relations Coordinator to plan and execute public and community relations programs, services, and events both at the ballpark and within the community.
  • Coordinate with the Nolan Ryan Foundation for the approval and fulfillment of all donation requests throughout the season.
  • Attend assigned Express games, stadium events, and scheduled community relations events and projects.
  • Assist with other digital marketing duties as assigned, including Wufoo forms, QR code creation, and bit.ly links.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Quick learner with the capacity to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Reliable, punctual, and courteous when interacting with colleagues, event staff, sponsors, and fans.
  • Previous experience in social media posting and development.
  • Flexibility to work weeknights, weekends, and game schedules.
  • Experience with Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Must be a recent college graduate or a current student.
