Job Overview

Keros Therapeutics is seeking a passionate and eager individual to join our preclinical research group. In this role, you will contribute to increasing our understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of action of our molecules, with a focus on hematopoiesis. This is an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and receive extensive training in both in vitro and ex vivo research.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in vitro and ex vivo research bench work.
  • Conduct RNA isolation and expression analysis by qRT-PCR.
  • Perform in vitro assays to confirm the expression and activity of candidate therapeutic proteins (Western Blot, ELISA).
  • Conduct antibody staining and flow cytometric analysis of hematopoietic cells.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of lab work and summarize results as needed in study reports.
  • Practice attention to detail and provide updates at team meetings.

Requirements

  • Students majoring in animal science, biology, biochemistry, or related majors.
  • Some mammalian cell culture experience.
  • Interest in a future career in biomedical research and open to performing ex vivo bench work.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team as well as independently with supervision.
  • Interest in blood/bone biology preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and organization skills, good working knowledge of MS office, data plotting, and presentation.
  • Displays a high degree of maturity, honesty, trust, and integrity.
  • A curious individual that considers a scientific problem/question an opportunity for innovation and intellectual growth.
  • Previous co-op or intern experience is preferred.
