Job Overview

  • Working in Membrane R&D lab to support the development of next generation membranes for bioprocessing industry
  • Hands-on position mentored by Membrane Scientists
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. Production, Quality Systems)
  • Solving technical challenges with systematic approach
  • Applying fundamentals of science and engineering

Responsibilities

  • Helping membrane scientist with development of improved formulations and processes for making microporous membranes
  • Characterizing microporous membranes using various test methods
  • Using analytical instruments such as FTIR, UV-vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, Goniometer, Porometer, etc.
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for existing and new processes, and test methods
  • Analyzing test results and writing technical reports
  • Making technical presentations

Requirements

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Material Engineering, Polymer Science/Polymer Chemistry, Material Science
