Job Overview

Hill+Knowlton Strategies is seeking a highly motivated and skillful writer to join our dynamic team for an immediate start. As a Fellow, you will have the opportunity to further develop essential communications, strategic planning, research, and media skills. We are looking for a solution-oriented team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring relevant industry news for daily/weekly client monitoring reports
  • Drafting press materials and press releases
  • Maintaining media lists, researching reporters, and crafting media pitches
  • Conducting research and compiling detailed information on industry events and activities
  • Proactively participating in team, staff, and client meetings
  • Conducting media outreach and scheduling client interviews
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with team members
  • Learning through a rich curriculum of professional development and training opportunities

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism preferred
  • Previous corporate communications and/or public relations agency-based internship experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and summarize findings
  • Excellent writer with knowledge of AP style guidelines
  • Interest in purpose-driven communication and storytelling
  • Organized, poised, personable team player able to think on your feet
  • Comfortable working on fast-paced assignments and willing to go above and beyond
  • Experience with tools such as Cision and TV Eyes preferred, but not required
