Job Overview
- Great opportunity for an internship in the accounting office of a well-established, highly-respected healthcare organization.
- Assist in executing and managing accounts payable tasks for an organization with 800+ employees.
- Gain exposure to assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices and check requests.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Process paperwork and check printing.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Compensation
Responsibilities
- Assist the Accounts Payable Coordinator with preparing and managing accounts payable tasks.
- Provide support in assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices and check requests.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Process paperwork and check printing.
- Open and sort invoices for weekly check runs.
- Assist with filing invoices following check runs.
Requirements
- Must have completed at least 2 accounting courses.
- Working towards completing a degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team environment.
- Strong attitude and clear communication skills are critical.
- Opportunity for future full-time position within the organization.
